Gillian Hadfield

Gillian Hadfield is the Richard L. and Antoinette Schamoi Kirtland Professor of Law and Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and co-director of its Center in Law, Economics and Organization. Her research focuses on legal design in market democracies: how the markets for law, lawyers, and dispute resolution affect the price and quality of legal services and also the innovation of those services. She has published numerous articles and papers and has been recipient of numerous fellowships, grants, honors and awards throughout her career. Professor Hadfield holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a Ph.D. in Economics with Distinction from Stanford University.
