Yangyang Fu

Yangyang (Ian) Fu, PhD, is a research engineer at Lennox International since January 2023, specializing in the development and deployment of a physics-informed end-to-end learning control framework. Previously, Yangyang served as an Autonomous Systems & AI Engineer at PassiveLogic and as a research engineer at Texas A&M University, focusing on deep reinforcement learning strategies for autonomous systems. Yangyang's academic background includes a postdoctoral research associate position at the University of Colorado Boulder, where machine learning for energy forecasting was researched, and earlier roles as a research assistant, including work on high-fidelity energy models and nonlinear model predictive control at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Yangyang earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University.
