Ratan Ray

Ratan Ray is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software architecture and engineering. Currently serving as Chief Software Architect and Distinguished Engineer at Lenovo since April 2021, Ratan has held various roles within the company since 2005, including Principal Engineer and Lead Platform and Solution Architect. Ratan’s expertise encompasses Windows 8/10 development, UMDF drivers, and Cloud-based applications, alongside contributions to ThinkVantage technologies. Prior experience includes serving as Software Architect at IBM, where responsibilities included leading the development of Access Connections and other technologies, and as Senior Staff Engineer at Texas Instruments, focusing on BIOS and device driver programming. Ratan's career began at HMT, working on software simulations and micro-controller programming. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Calcutta, along with notable studies at the Indian Institute of Science.
