Lead Hydrogeologist at LRE Water

Michael Plante is a Licensed Professional Geologist with extensive experience in hydrogeology and groundwater resource management. Currently serving as the Lead Hydrogeologist at LRE Water since May 2019, Michael Plante manages a variety of projects, including groundwater resource evaluations, wellhead protection plans, and aquifer vulnerability assessments, primarily across Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Prior to this role, Michael Plante worked as a Supervising Hydrogeologist at WSP USA from February 1999 to May 2019, where involvement included assessments for water supply projects and contaminated site remediation. Earlier in the career, Michael Plante gained experience as a Geophysicist at Schlumberger, specializing in 3D seismic data processing for offshore projects. Michael Plante holds a Master's degree in Geographic Information Science and a Bachelor's degree in Geology, both from the University of Minnesota.
