Susannah Rand has a diverse work experience. Susannah is currently working as a Senior Research Associate at Level All since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2019 to 2021, where they served as an English Instructor and developed a unit on "Resisting the Rubric" that was selected by the UNL Writing Center for future instructors. Susannah also taught Writing and Argument courses and designed a curriculum with both online and in-person components. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at UNL, where they catalogued data on African poets and poetry in the news to support the African Poetry Digital Portal. Susannah also has experience as a Freelance Developmental Editor from 2017 to 2019. Lastly, they worked at Clarkson College from 2015 to 2019 as the Coordinator of the Residence Hall and Student Activities. In this position, they managed various functions of the Residence Hall, organized events on important topics, and advised the Student Government.

Susannah Rand began their education in 2011 when they enrolled at New York University. Susannah pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies, completing their studies in 2015. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln starting in 2019. During this period, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters, which they successfully completed in 2021.
