Cassie McCown

Cassie McCown is an experienced professional with a diverse background in editing, merchandising, and volunteer advocacy. As the Owner and Editor of Gathering Leaves since March 2011, McCown provides editing and proofreading services and maintains a book, television, and movie review blog. In the role of Merchandiser at Lewis Bakeries since July 2022, McCown is responsible for receiving bakery deliveries, electronically recording inventory, and managing product presentation in local stores. Previous volunteer experience includes serving as a Client Advocate for SavALife of Limestone County, Inc., and Choose Life of North Alabama, where McCown offered counseling and support related to pregnancy services. McCown holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Religion from Athens State University obtained between 2005 and 2007.
