Dr. DeSean E. Coleman, Sr. currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Student and Title IX Coordinator at Lewis University since August 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Coleman dedicated nearly two decades to Elgin Community College, where responsibilities included overseeing compliance efforts related to Title IX and Title VII as part of the President's Task Force, teaching general student development courses as an Adjunct Professor, and managing the Upward Bound program to support first-generation and low-income students. Dr. Coleman's earlier experience includes serving as a Counselor and Developmental Education Instructor at Alcorn State University. Dr. Coleman holds a Doctor of Education degree in Adult & Higher Education from Northern Illinois University, along with a Master's degree in Guidance & Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Elementary Education, both from Alcorn State University, as well as an Associate degree in Education from Hinds Community College.
