Sejoong Oh has a strong background in the automotive industry, with extensive experience in engineering, project management, and leadership roles. Sejoong began their career at Hyundai Motor Company as an Assistant Manager from 1992 to 1994. Sejoong then moved to GM, where they worked as a CAE Lead Engineer for over a decade, from 1999 to 2012. After that, they joined Samsung SDI and held various positions, including Vice President of Project Management for the Automotive Battery Division from 2012 to 2015, Managing Director and COO of Samsung SDI Battery Systems GmbH from 2015 to 2020, and finally Vice President of Engineering Verification & Analysis at Samsung SDI from 2020 to 2021. Most recently, they have been working as a Senior Consultant at LG Business Research since 2022 and is currently the VP of Product Planning at LG Energy Solution.
Sejoong Oh earned a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1999. Sejoong then completed their MBA in Business Administration from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2008 to 2011.
