Hoon Hyung

Hoon Hyung, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Judge for the XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition and holds the position of Second Vice President and Board Member at the International Desalination and Reuse Association (IDRA). As Head of LG Water Solutions since March 2021, Hoon Hyung directs business growth strategies and operations for a comprehensive water solutions provider. Previous roles include President of LG NanoH2O LLC, Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services at LG Water Solutions, Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager at CDM Smith, and Lead Process Engineer at GE Power & Water. Hoon Hyung's extensive expertise in water treatment engineering is supported by a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and degrees in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University.
