Derrick Hastie

Derrick Hastie is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in asset management and financial services. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at L&G – Asset Management since March 2021, Derrick has held significant roles including Global CTO and Global Head of Data Technology at Aegon Asset Management. Prior to that, Derrick was COO of Multi-Asset & QIS and Deputy Global Head of Business Systems at Aberdeen Asset Management. Derrick's career also includes leading IT initiatives at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and Royal London. Derrick holds a BEng in Software Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University, earned between January 1989 and January 1993.
