IT Systems Administrator

The Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator with expert level skills in administering Atlassian. You will be responsible for driving forward changes to our ITSM process using Jira Service Management and will also work with an array of other SaaS providers such as Salesforce. This role requires a proactive and technically proficient individual who can maintain and enhance the performance of our critical business systems in a dynamic financial services environment.

You will be the subject matter expert for all things Jira and will be responsible for configuring and optimizing the IT portal, automations, workflows etc.

Please note this is a Hybrid role but we do ask candidates to be in the office 2-3 days a week in Manchester.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, optimize, document, and implement the Jira workflows and automations.
• Manage user roles, permissions, and access to IT systems and software, including Salesforce and Atlassian products.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jira cloud instances, and other Atlassian products including Confluence, Product Discovery, and various plugins.
• Participate in requirements gathering for business processes and determine ways to optimize/improve Jira setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests.
• Build integrations between Jira and other systems including Confluence, GitHub, EntraID, etc.
• Build dashboards provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics.

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot the Banks other Saas Platforms including Salesforce, nCino, TUUM, and M365.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand IT needs and provide effective solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to users on Salesforce, Atlassian products, and other IT systems.
• Support with the on-call IT support rota as required.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
• Participate in IT projects, including system implementations, migrations, and integrations.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role with a strong focus on SaaS platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with Atlassian and/or Salesforce.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex systems efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of IT security and compliance, particularly within a regulated industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in Atlassian and Salesforce administration.
• Experience in a financial services or similarly regulated environment.
