Mara DeRitter has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 2010, they interned at FIBES-Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at Oxford University Press, first as a Product Manager and then as a Senior Trainer, where they were responsible for marketing campaigns, project management, and business intelligence analysis. In 2017, they joined Pod Group as a Strategic Partnerships Manager, where they focused on building relationships and identifying business opportunities. In 2018, they joined Wellness TechGroup as a Customer Enablement Manager, coordinating product, marketing, and sales teams to align with customer requirements. Mara later became a BD & Alliances Manager, driving business growth through partnerships. Currently, they work at Libelium as a Global Sales Manager Sustainability.

Mara DeRitter obtained a Master's degree in Business, Protocol and International Communication from Universidad de Sevilla in 2010. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish and Sociology from Westmont College. In terms of additional certifications, Mara has completed the "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" course at Google Digital Garage in December 2022. Mara has also participated in the "Acento Spanish Immersion Program" at Trinity Christian College. Moreover, Mara has completed a practicum in education at the Center for Cross-Cultural Study / Spanish Studies Abroad and obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from the TEFL Institute.
