Popa Aurelian

Popa Aurelian has extensive experience in automation and digitalization within the metallurgical sector, holding key leadership roles since July 2019 as Head of Automation in the Digitalization Department at Liberty Galati. Prior to this, Popa served as Head of Automation and Digitalization Department at ArcelorMittal Galati from October 2014 to July 2019 and held various engineering roles within the same company since 2007. Notable expertise includes software development, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems. Earlier roles include automation engineering at Danieli Engineering ROM and S.C. ICMRS S.A. Galaţi, where responsibilities encompassed system commissioning and electrical supervision. Popa Aurelian holds an engineering degree in Electronics from Universitatea „Dunărea de Jos” din Galați, completed in 1999.
