Nicole Saylor currently serves as the Director of the American Folklife Center and Chief of the Digital Innovation Lab at the Library of Congress, roles that involve leading digital innovation and managing extensive folklife collections. With a solid background in digital research and publishing, Nicole previously directed the Digital Research & Publishing department at the University of Iowa, overseeing significant growth in digital libraries and pioneering projects. Prior experience includes reference services at Davenport Public Library and archival work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by leadership roles in journalism at both the Wisconsin State Journal and The Kansas City Star. Nicole holds an MA in Library and Information Studies and a BA in Mass Communication.
