Andrea Brooks has a diverse and extensive work experience. Andrea currently holds the position of President and CEO at Lifeline Connections since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, where they held various roles including Chief Program Officer and Behavioral Health Division Director, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Senior Special Advisor to the Commissioner, and Manager of Provider Development and Transformation Initiatives from 2015 to 2022.
Before joining the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health, Andrea was a Clinical Care Manager at Community Behavioral Health from 2013 to 2015. Andrea also worked as a Therapist at Crossroads Programs, Inc for a brief period in 2014. In addition, they served as the Program Manager of 1515 & 1523, Ray Homes, and Connelly House at Project H.O.M.E. from 2012 to 2013.
Andrea has experience in the healthcare industry as well, having worked as a Hospital Social Worker at Lourdes Health System from 2011 to 2012. Andrea also served as a Program Coordinator and Live-in Residential Aide at Bethesda Project from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they were a Care Manager I at Philadelphia Corporation for Aging from June 2010 to November 2010.
Earlier in their career, Andrea worked as an Adult Learning and Leadership Coordinator at The Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia from August 2009 to May 2010. Andrea also served as a Social Worker at Senior Citizen United Community Services from September 2008 to May 2009.
Overall, Andrea Brooks has a strong background in program management, strategic initiatives, and behavioral health, with a demonstrated commitment to serving vulnerable populations.
Andrea Brooks has a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Rutgers University - Camden. Andrea also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Human Services from Camden County College. In addition, they are a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Pennsylvania, a certification they obtained in September 2010.
