Chad Hay has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and therapy. Chad started their career as a Crisis Line Volunteer at Lines for Life in 2013 and continued in this role until 2016. In 2014, Chad worked as a Programs Intern at the National MS Society - Oregon Chapter for a year. Chad then joined CDM Caregiving Services in 2016 as an Art Therapy Intern, where they stayed until 2017. Chad then worked at DePaul Treatment Centers as an Addiction Counselor/Art Therapy Intern from 2017 to 2018. Currently, Chad is employed at Lifeline Connections as a Mental Health Professional, with their start date in June 2019.
Chad Hay obtained a Master's Degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Marylhurst University from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Portland State University, which they attended from 2012 to 2014. Furthermore, Chad Hay attended the University of Oregon from 2010 to 2012, however, it is unspecified whether they obtained a degree or pursued any specific field of study during that time.
In addition to their formal education, Chad Hay has obtained several certifications. In May 2014, they completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid training, which lasted for 8 hours and was conducted by Mental Health First Aid USA. In February 2013, they also completed a 16-hour training called Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) offered by Lines for Life. Moreover, they obtained a 12-hour certification from Mental Health First Aid USA in August 2013 called Mental Health First Aid USA. It is worth noting that Chad Hay also holds an LMHCA certification from the State of Washington, although the specific month and year they obtained it are not mentioned.
