Melissa Callison currently serves as a Fundraising Representative for Special Olympics since September 2016, while also holding a long-standing position as the Director of Legal Administration and Technology at Consumers Energy since April 1986. Additionally, Melissa serves as Board Chair for both the United Way of Jackson County and LifeWays Community Mental Health since 2010 and 2012, respectively. Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations Research & Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University, where studies were completed between 1979 and 1984, following graduation from Manistee Catholic Central High School in 1979.

LifeWays

LifeWays is a public mental health agency serving people in Jackson and Hillsdale counties. We treat adults and children with emotional/behavioral challenges, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and substance use issues. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), LifeWays provides a comprehensive set of services used to increase access to care, support people in crisis, and provide treatment for those with the most serious and complex behavioral health needs regardless of their insurance coverage. CCBHCs integrate additional services that focus on recovery, wellness, trauma-informed care, and physical-behavioral health care integration. Treatment, services, and supports may include screening and assessment, crisis intervention, withdrawal management, crisis care, case management, therapy, skill building/vocational support, peer mentoring, veterans support, healthcare integration, wellness coaching, and prevention/outreach.
