Dr. Ben Kaufman

Dr. Ben Kaufman is a prominent expert in new mobilities and transport research, currently serving as the Head of New Mobilities at Liftango since November 2021. With a role as a Queensland Transport Academic Partnership Scholar at Griffith University, Dr. Kaufman investigates the social equity impacts of demand-responsive transit services in Australia and globally. Previous experience includes founding Microtransit Consulting and Microtransit.com.au, and serving as CEO of Books 4 Equality, a nonprofit aimed at reducing student costs for academic materials. Dr. Kaufman has also worked as a data analyst at RSG and a graduate research assistant at the University of Vermont, where significant research involved advancing transportation surveying methods using mobile device GPS data. Academic credentials include a PhD in Transport from Griffith University, alongside a Master of Science in Natural Resources and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
