Jonghun Song has a diverse work experience with various roles in different companies. Jonghun started their career in the Republic of Korea Army as an Artilleryman (Sergeant) from August 2008 to August 2010. Following that, they worked at SAIT Polytechnic as a Peer Tutor from January 2013 to April 2014. Jonghun then joined Cenovus Energy as a Production Technologist Student for a capstone project from January 2014 to April 2014. Jonghun then worked at Harvest Operations Corp. as a Project Engineering Technologist from August 2014 to March 2015. Jonghun further gained experience in the field as a Field Service Technician at Sealweld Corporation from June 2015 to July 2016. Later, they became a Calculus Tutor at Montana Tech from January 2017 to May 2018. Currently, they are working at Lifting Solutions Inc. as a Junior Engineer (E.I.T.) since July 2019.
Jonghun Song's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Technological University, which they pursued from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2012 to 2014, where they completed an Associate of Science in Petroleum Technology. Jonghun Song also holds several additional certifications, including Engineer In Training from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), CSTS-09 from Alberta Construction Safety Association, Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, H2S Alive from Energy Safety Canada, and Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from ST Mark James Training.
