Thom Short is an experienced professional in competency management and training development, currently serving as the Competency and Training Development Coordinator at Lifting Solutions Inc. since December 2020, following a role as Competency and Training Advisor from May 2017 to March 2020. Thom has successfully developed and implemented competency management systems for field operations, ensuring that employees receive proper training and assessment. Prior experience includes technical training roles at Weatherford and significant leadership positions within the Royal Canadian Air Force, where responsibilities encompassed human resource management for over 800 aircraft technicians and various supervisory roles in aircraft maintenance and training. Thom holds qualifications in leadership and management from the Royal Canadian Air Force Academy and is a certified Aircraft Structures Technician.
