David Warfel is an accomplished lighting designer with extensive experience in various capacities, including as the Founding Designer at Light Can Help You since August 2002 and as an independent lighting designer and consultant through David K Warfel, Lighting Design. With a background in academia, David served as the Head of Lighting Design at Illinois State University from August 2012 to May 2014 and at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2002 to May 2012. Earlier professional experience includes working as an Associate Designer at Chartersills. David holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Theatre from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the same institution.
