Michael Young is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical program management, particularly in the semiconductor and hardware engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Sr Program Manager at Lightmatter since March 2023, Michael oversees ASIC and Photonics silicon product developments and logistical infrastructure. Previous roles include Sr Program Manager at Groq, focusing on VLSI for machine learning chips, and positions at AMD and Auxilium Ltd, where Michael managed various IP developments and contributed to a healthcare startup, respectively. Michael's career also includes significant leadership roles at Oracle Corporation and Sun Microsystems, where responsibilities spanned hardware engineering and program management for multiple microprocessor projects. Michael holds a BEng with First-Class Honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
