Nicholas Harris

Nicholas Harris is the current CEO of Lightmatter. Prior to this, they were a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from October 2017 to January 2018. Nicholas's work there was focused on IC Postdoctoral Fellowship awarded for proposal to "Innovative Future High Performance Microelectronics Technologies – More Than Moore’s Law". Proposal titled "Ultrafast Deep Learning with Coherent Nanophotonics".

Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Fellow at MIT from August 2013 to August 2017. During that time, they led the quantum optics with silicon photonics team in Dirk Englund's Quantum Photonics Lab.

Prior to their academic career, Nicholas Harris worked as an R&D Product Engineer at Micron Technology from June 2009 to June 2011.

Nicholas Harris received their PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Nicholas also holds a Bachelor of Science in EECS from the University of Idaho.
