Mary Kauffman

Mary Kauffman currently serves as the VP of Finance at Lightspark since February 2023 and is a member of the Partner Advisory Council at Bitwave and the AICPA Digital Assets Working Group, both starting in January 2023 and 2021 respectively. Prior to her current roles, Mary was the Head of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting at OpenSea from February 2022 to February 2023 and also worked at Facebook from November 2019 to February 2022 as the Technical Accounting Lead focusing on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital payments. Mary has extensive experience from Deloitte, where tenure spanned from January 2009 to November 2019, culminating in a Senior Manager position within the Global Capital Markets Group. Academically, Mary holds an Executive MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and International Business from the same institution, supplemented by executive education in blockchain technologies at MIT.
