Lightyear
Nelis Geurts has gained work experience in various roles and companies. From September 2021 to the present, they have served as a Solar Engineer at Lightyear. Prior to that, from September 2020 to September 2021, they worked as an Electrical Prototype Engineer in the same company. Before joining Lightyear, they worked at Agoria Solar Team as a Consultant from December 2019 to the present, and as an Electrical Engineer specializing in High Voltage & Solar Panel from July 2018 to December 2019. Additionally, Nelis was a Team Member of Track-X at PiP Leuven from September 2017 to July 2018. Nelis also worked as a Team Member of Navex e-Boat Team at KU Leuven from September 2016 to June 2017, participating in the Ecorace Challenge 2017 organized by Vlaamse Waterwegen nv.
Nelis Geurts pursued their education at KU Leuven, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering specializing in Electromechanics from 2015 to 2018. Nelis then continued their studies at KU Leuven and obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering specializing in Electromechanics from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, during the same period, they also pursued a Postgraduate degree in Innovative Entrepreneurship for Engineers at KU Leuven.
