Hugh Morgenbesser

Hugh Morgenbesser has an extensive work experience spanning over 25 years. Hugh started their career in 1995 as a Software Engineer at BBN Technologies, where they developed signal processing components for the Hark Speech Recognizer. In 1999, they joined Dragon Systems as a Software Engineer and was responsible for porting the recognizer to a new embedded platform. In 2000, they moved to iPhrase Technologies as a Sr. Software Engineer and was in charge of leading a team of 5 engineers on development of tools for using the iPhrase natural language search engine with unstructured web content. In 2002, they became a High School Teacher at Arlington Public Schools. In 2007, they joined Going.com as a Software Engineer / Consultant and worked on features such as messaging, inbox views, profile views, event views, and event listings pages. In 2008, they joined TripAdvisor as a Senior Software Engineer and implemented new page designs and variations to make improvements to the TripAdvisor website. In 2011, they moved to Liquid Wireless as a Principal Software Engineer and developed a real time bidder that adhered to the OpenRTB Mobile specification for bidding on mobile advertisement inventory. In 2013, they became the CEO Storytellit and Co-Founder, CTO. In 2019, they joined the Entrepreneurs' Organization as a Member.

Hugh Morgenbesser attended Midwood High School from 1986 to 1990, graduating with a Diploma. Hugh then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1995, where they earned a SB and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
