Kyle Watson has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Kyle started their career as an Electrical Technician Apprentice at ECITB in 2006, where they completed their HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and N/SVQ Level 2 in Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Plant and Equipment.
Afterward, they joined Wood Group PSN in 2008, where they worked as an Electrical Technician and Production Operator. Kyle performed routine maintenance on electrical systems and carried out fault finding and repairs to minimize downtime. As part of their role, they operated, monitored, controlled, and maintained process plant and systems in compliance with safety standards. Kyle also gained experience in gas compression, injection, and three-phase separation processes.
In 2016, Kyle joined Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited as a Production Operator for Greenfield Operations/Commissioning. Kyle was responsible for monitoring and controlling various aspects of the oil and gas production process, including oil/gas separation, gas compression, oil export, oil/gas metering, water injection, water treatment, and platform utilities. Kyle had control room experience and was competent in controlling process conditions using ICSS control systems.
From 2019 to 2021, Kyle worked at Serica Energy plc as a Process Operator. During this time, they operated equipment and systems in a safe and efficient manner, following the company's safety management systems.
Currently, Kyle holds the position of Lead Operations Engineer at Lilac Solutions, Inc., starting from March 2022. Further details about this role are not provided.
Kyle Watson attended North East Scotland College from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Kyle then went on to Robert Gordon University and studied Engineering from 2012 to 2016, earning a BSc (Eng) in Electronic & Electrical Engineering.
