Dr. Patrick Nathen

Dr. Patrick Nathen is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering, currently serving as Co-Founder and Flight Mechanics Engineer at Lilium since June 2014, where roles have included Co-Founder and VP Product as well as Co-Founder and Head of Calculation & Design. Prior to this, Dr. Nathen worked as a Research Assistant at the Technical University of Munich from August 2012 to December 2015, focusing on theoretical turbulence modeling for GPU-accelerated lattice-Boltzmann methods. Academic achievements include a Doctorate in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in Turbulence Modeling and Lattice-Boltzmann Methods from the Technical University of Munich, earned in 2015, a Master’s Degree in Numerical Simulation and Thermofluid Dynamics from the same institution, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences.
