Irene Rubio

Irene Rubio is a Senior System Engineer specializing in Electrical Power Systems at Lilium since May 2018, with a strong focus on test definition, de-risking support, and requirements validation for battery subsystems in manned flight applications. Previous roles include System Engineer and Battery Test Engineer at Lilium, where extensive experience was gained in testing and validation of electrical propulsion systems. Prior to Lilium, Irene served as Project Engineer at WMG, University of Warwick, overseeing lithium-ion battery manufacturing quality assurance and process improvement projects for automotive applications. Earlier experience includes roles as Precision Engineer and Research Engineer, where Irene developed expertise in battery manufacturing processes and conducted research on sewage sludge treatment. Irene holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Zaragoza.
