Robin Babu has a diverse work experience starting in 2016 as an intern at Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), where they gained knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation practices, as well as engine assembly and mechanical repair techniques. In 2017, they interned at Integral Coach Factory (ICF), where they received training in rail coach manufacturing processes and procedures.
In 2019, Robin joined Lime as a Senior Mechanic, where they supervised mechanical and electrical repair work on Lime vehicles and conducted quality and safety checks. ROBIN then progressed to become an Interim IWH Ops Coordinator, supporting in-warehouse operations and conducting training sessions for mechanics.
Currently, Robin holds the role of Team Lead at Lime, where they manage in-warehouse fleet operations and optimized operational fleet capacity targets for multiple cities. ROBIN also implemented the 5S methodology in the warehouse, leading to improved organization efficiency and achieving a zero Net Decay rate. Robin's responsibilities also include managing a team in diagnostics, repair, and quality control, maintaining smooth warehouse operations, and troubleshooting vandalism and major issues in escooters/ebikes.
Robin Babu completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady between 2014 and 2018. They also pursued self-paced online courses through Tenaris University in 2017 and 2018, focusing on Introduction to Running Pipe in Oil and Gas Wells and Oil country tubular goods (OCTG). Prior to their higher education, Robin attended Carmel Higher Secondary School from 2002 to 2014. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from edX in PIPE01x: Introduction to Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and PIPE02x: Introduction to Running Pipe in Oil and Gas Wells, although the specific dates of certification acquisition are not provided.
