Jesse Tootell

Jesse Tootell is an accomplished data scientist and leader in research and development, currently serving as the Director of Research & Development at Lineage since December 2015. Under Tootell's leadership, the Lineage Logistics Data Science team received recognition as the #1 Most Innovative Data Science Team by Fast Company in 2019 and ranked on the CNBC Disruptor lists from 2021 to 2023. With a solid foundation in energy analytics, asset optimization, and financial performance modeling, Tootell has a proven track record in managing and implementing strategies for energy procurement and corporate partnerships. Prior professional experience includes roles at NOAA and Scripps Institution of Oceanography, focusing on marine ecosystems and coral reef research. Tootell holds an M.S. in Data Science from Northwestern University and an M.S. with Distinction in Biology and Ecology from California State University, Northridge.
