Scott Thompson has over 19 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Scott started their career in 2001 as a Medical Laboratory Technician at QML Pathology and worked there until 2002. Scott then worked as a Scuba Diving Instructor at Deep Sea Divers Den from 2002 to 2003. In 2003, they joined MDS Pharma Services as a Clinical Conduct Specialist for a year. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at Fonterra as a Calibration Technologist. In 2012, they joined Linear Clinical Research Ltd where they held multiple roles including Laboratory Manager from 2012 to 2015, Laboratory & IT Manager from 2015 to 2017, Technical Operations Manager from 2017 to 2020, and currently serves as the Head of Corporate Operations.
Scott Thompson has a Diploma in Adventure Based Learning with a focus on Outdoor Education & Leadership from Dive HQ - Academy of Diving. Scott also completed the SSI Advanced Scuba Diver Instructor Program at the same institution. Additionally, Scott has a Diploma in Haematology from the New Zealand Institute of Medical Laboratory Science and is certified as a Medic First Aid & Oxygen Provider Instructor from Medic First Aid. Scott further obtained a PADI Instructor Development Course in Scuba Diving Instruction & Leadership from Deep Sea Divers Den. Scott has additional certifications including being a PADI Dive Instructor and SSI Advanced Open Water Dive Instructor. Scott also holds certifications in areas such as drug screening, G Suite administration, internal quality auditing, managing people and performance, and safety and health representation.
