Traci Backus

Traci Backus possesses extensive experience in animal care and management, currently serving as Trainer 3 at Lion Country Safari since May 2011, where responsibilities include entertaining guests, training various species, and mentoring keepers. Prior to this role, Traci held the position of Lead Keeper at Knoxville Zoo, supervising animal care for diverse species and developing educational programs. Traci's earlier experience includes a part-time associate role at Bath and Body Works and a student worker position at the University of Tennessee Knoxville Experiment Station, enhancing skills in customer service and animal care. Traci co-managed Pass Pets, overseeing staff and maintenance of pet care operations. Traci holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
