Rupali Mahajan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Rupali began their career in the advertising industry, working as a Copywriter and Creative Intern at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide in 1997. Rupali then joined Avigna Technologies as a Creative Group Head from 1998 to 2001, followed by a role as a Creative Design Director at ITC Limited in 2001.
In 2002, Rupali transitioned to Syracuse University, where they held various positions. Rupali served as the Director of Web Design for the OrangeTV Network and later took on the role of Chief Community Officer for Women in Science and Engineering. During their time at Syracuse University, they focused on driving public relations, community outreach, and event planning.
Moving forward, Rupali worked at PPC as the Head of Communications, leading global communications efforts for the organization. Rupali managed employee and customer communications, internal and industry events, product launches, key company initiatives, and sales readiness.
Rupali then joined Microsoft in 2006, where they took on several roles within the communications field. As the Marketing Communications Manager for Microsoft IT, they launched and managed the speaker bureau for executive-to-customer briefings and customer engagements. Rupali also led integrated marcom campaigns for the Worldwide Services division, focusing on driving awareness and positive perception of product support programs.
In 2012, Rupali became the Head of Communications for the Customer Partner Experience at Microsoft. In this role, they led global communications and sales readiness, enabling approximately $2B in revenue. Rupali communicated with various stakeholders, including the CEO, cross-company business stakeholders, field sellers, and partners. Additionally, they developed a global content platform for targeted content delivery to field marketers and sellers.
Rupali then joined SAP in 2017 as the Principal for Executive Communications. In this position, they drove executive communications strategy and content for the President and their leadership team. Rupali supported both internal and external communication efforts and provided trainings and guidance for the marcom community.
In 2021, Rupali joined Lions + Tigers as the Diversity and Inclusion Council Lead, focusing on promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.

Rupali Mahajan holds an MBA/M.S. in Media Management from Syracuse University. Prior to that, they obtained a Post Graduate Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Madras Christian College. Rupali also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communications from Madras University. Additionally, they have completed the certification course "Social Media for Leadership" from LinkedIn in February 2020. Rupali has also pursued a certification in "Diversity and Inclusion for Organizational Excellence," although the institution and specific timing for this certification are not provided.
