Robert Riesen is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in sponsor finance and life sciences banking. Currently serving as the Head of Sponsor Finance Underwriting and Vice President at Live Oak Bank since November 2020, Robert has previously held multiple positions at Traction, LLC as a Fractional Finance Associate, and at Square 1 Bank, where responsibilities included loan origination, due diligence, and managing a $40M+ portfolio. Robert has a strong background in organizing business development events and presenting loan structures for credit approval. Robert began the career at Carolina Capital Markets as a Sales and Trading Intern after earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009.
