David Zhao

David Zhao is a Co-Founder and CTO at LiveKit, an open source infrastructure for real-time communications. Previously, David worked as a Senior Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, investing in and supporting startups in various industries. David also held positions such as Director of Engineering at Medium, Co-Founder & CEO at Evie Labs, and Director of Engineering at Motorola Mobility, where David led successful integration projects. Prior to these roles, David was a Co-Founder and CEO at Zecter, a company acquired by Motorola Mobility. With a background in software engineering, David has also worked at Amazon.com and All Star Directories. David holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington and has completed the Y Combinator program.
