Denys Smirnov

Denys Smirnov is a Staff Software Engineer at LiveKit since November 2023, with a strong background in software engineering. Prior to this role, Denys served as a Staff Software Engineer at Athenian from November 2019 to June 2023, where responsibilities included designing and building a data retrieval pipeline that synchronized GitHub and Jira metadata for improved analytics. Denys also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at source{d} from February 2018 to October 2019, where the architecture of Babelfish, a universal code parser, was rebuilt. Earlier experience includes designing iterations of the Datomizer platform as a Senior Software Engineer at Datomia from January 2015 to February 2018, and working as a Software Engineer in the INSC - Samsung cooperation from May 2012 to December 2014. Denys holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
