Tom Richmond has a strong background in sales and business development, particularly in the maritime industry. Tom is currently the Head of Software & Technology Sales at Lloyd's List Intelligence, where they spearhead the development and integration of software and technology solutions for the shipping sector. Prior to this, Tom held various roles within the same company, including Head of Strategic Partnerships and Key Account Manager for shipping. Tom also has experience in channel strategy and optimization as a Manager at Inmarsat. Before entering the maritime industry, Tom worked as a Business Development Manager at g2 Recruitment Solutions.

From 1998 to 2009, they attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Wakefield, where they pursued A level studies in English Language, Economics, Mathematics, and French (AS).
In 2010, they enrolled at The University of Manchester, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Language, Literacy & Communication, which they finished in 2013.
In 2016, they attended Lloyd's Maritime Academy briefly, taking a course on Background to Shipping. The course covered topics such as Shipping Markets, Bunkering, Maritime Law, Security, and Ship Management.
In 2018, they returned to Lloyd's Maritime Academy to complete a course in Shipping Business. This course focused on the Shipping Industry, Development of Regulation, Ship Finance, Classification, Law, and Insurance.
