Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd. (LMEL) was incorporated in 1977 as a  manufacturing company. We were awarded a lease for iron ore mines in 2007 at Surjagarh Village, Gadchiroli district, initially for a period of 20 years & extended to 50 years under MMDR Act, 2018. This district has Maharashtra’s richest iron ore reserves, ensuring long-term stability and optimized production. 

As the largest coal-based DRI manufacturer in Maharashtra, we contribute significantly to the state's steel supply chain sector. Our manufacturing facilities in Ghughus Village, Chandrapur district and in Konsari, Gadchiroli District, have a combined production capacity of almost 0.4 Million mt and 34 MW of power plant generation. We are also setting up a pellet plant, additional DRI and Power capacity and a 0.5 Million mt SMS and WRM (Wire Rod Mill).
