Catherine McCartney

Catherine McCartney is an experienced architect currently working at Loader Monteith Architects since February 2024. Prior to this role, Catherine gained valuable experience at Hoskins Architects, contributing to conservation projects and developing design packages for high-profile buildings from July 2023 to February 2024. Catherine completed Part III studies and qualified as an architect at HOKO Design, where employment began in April 2021 and included roles as both designer and architect. Previous positions include Part II Architectural Assistant at GM Design; Part I Architectural Assistant at MUMA LLP, engaging in notable projects; internship at Attika Architekten, focusing on diverse architectural scales; public surveying experience at Gehl Architects; volunteer work with Orkidstudio, where hands-on design and construction took place; and early architectural assistant work at Montgomery Irwin Architects. Catherine holds a Diploma of Architecture from The Glasgow School of Art, a Master's degree from Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien, and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from The Glasgow School of Art.
