Vivek Chopra

Vivek Chopra has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles in the lending industry. Vivek currently serves as the SVP Software Engineering at loanDepot since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Software Engineering at Caliber Home Loans from 2014 to 2019, where they led multiple mission-critical projects and provided technical guidance to the executive leadership. Before that, they held the position of Vice President of Software Engineering at Caliber Funding from 2009 to 2014, overseeing loan origination software development activities. Vivek also has experience as a Technical Manager at StoneWater Mortgage Corporation, where they played a key role in designing and developing an end-to-end loan origination platform. Vivek started their career as a Project Lead at WNS Global Services, Ltd., managing software engineering and development projects for First Magnus Financial Corporation.

Vivek Chopra obtained a Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting and Computer Systems from ICL in 1996-1999. Vivek also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Georgia College & State University. Additionally, Vivek has obtained certifications in various fields including administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 databases, being a certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), a certified ScrumMaster (CSM), ITIL Foundation Level, implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, and querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
