Oscar Andell

Oscar Andell is currently working as a Software Developer at Lodgify since December 2021. In this role, they are responsible for front-end development and serves as a scrum master. Oscar focuses on developing highly customizable no-code solutions for customers to build and manage their rental websites easily.

Before joining Lodgify, Oscar worked at Vizlib from August 2020 to December 2021. As a Software Developer, they developed interactive and fully customizable visualizations and tools for the Qlik Sense platform. Oscar also served as the lead developer for the Vizlib Toolbar product, utilizing technologies such as Angular, RxJS, Ngrx, React, and Typescript.

Prior to that, they completed a Masterthesis at Zenon AB from January 2020 to June 2020. Their project involved investigating the implications of serverless and Function-as-a-Service architecture on performance, reliability, and extensibility. Oscar developed a proof-of-concept web application and gained experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, Azure Web App, and Cosmos DB.

In 2018, Oscar worked on multiple projects. Oscar co-created the open-source Android application Riksdagskollen, aimed at providing easy access to information about the Swedish parliament. Oscar also interned at MindRoad AB, where they worked on automated unit testing for a mobile application and assisted in testing web development courses. Additionally, they served as a tutor in problem-based learning for IT students at Linköping University.

Oscar gained further experience through summer internships. In 2018, they worked as a software developer in the Gripen project at Saab, where they developed an application to read and store data from Jenkins and created interactive visualization tools. In 2017, they interned at Saab Training & Simulation, automating data migration and assisting in testing simulations.

Their earlier work experience includes serving as a soldier in the Swedish Armed Forces from August 2013 to August 2015, where they were a traffic/logistics soldier responsible for combat training, vehicle service, transportation, and communication in the MOVCON-platoon at the logistic regiment in Skövde.

Oscar Andell completed their education at Linköping University from 2015 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Civilingenjörsexamen. In 2019, they also had an opportunity to study at Harbin Institute of Technology, earning a Master of Science in International software engineering.
