Prior to their MBA, Reed completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Arabic and Systems Engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2004 to 2008. Before West Point, Reed attended Valley Forge Military Academy & College in 2003-2004, where they studied Systems Engineering.
In terms of certifications, Reed obtained the CFA Level II certification from the CFA Institute in January 2022, following their completion of the CFA Level I certification in January 2020. Additionally, they participated in the Harvard Business School Manage Mentor Program through the United States Army Special Operations Command. Reed also holds various military qualifications, including being a Ranger, having completed the US Army Ranger School, and being a Sapper, having completed the US Army Sapper School. Furthermore, they are a Special Forces Officer (Green Beret) who successfully completed the US Army Special Forces Qualification Course.

We believe that more responsible users of the out outdoors creates more people that will fight for the protection of our wild places, and therefore give 1% of top line revenue at each location to a local non-profit that fosters responsible outdoor use.
