Hemant Walia has over 10 years of experience in the data engineering field. Hemant began their career in 2010 as an ETL Developer and Software Engineer at CSC. In 2013, they moved to LiveCareer as an ETL Developer, where they worked on Informatica powercenter to load strategic source data. In 2015, Hemant joined Deloitte Canada as a Senior BI/ETL Developer, working on projects spanning various industries. In 2018, they contracted with Walmart as a Senior BI/Data Developer, where they worked as an ETL developer for a high visibility report containing metrics across the domain. Currently, Hemant is a Senior Data Engineer at Logistyx Technologies.
Hemant Walia obtained their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from Guru Nanak Dev University between 2005 and 2009. Hemant also obtained a certification in Analyzing Big Data with Hive from Lynda.com in March 2018, and a Diplôme études de langue française from the French Ministry of National Education in August 2011.
