Hidde de Vries

Hidde de Vries is a standardisation expert in web accessibility at Logius since January 2024, actively engaged in international accessibility standardisation efforts through participation in key working groups such as the Accessibility Guidelines and ARIA Working Groups at W3C. Hidde has a long-standing role as an accessibility auditor and consultant at hiddedevries.nl since 2005, assisting organizations in meeting accessibility guidelines such as WCAG and delivering workshops and public speaking engagements on related topics. Hidde's previous experience includes positions that focus on developer relations, accessibility, and front-end development at notable organizations like Sanity.io, W3C, Mozilla, and various governmental entities in the Netherlands. Hidde holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence from Utrecht University.
