David Smith has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. David has worked at Lokulus, starting in 2006 as a Support Team Manager, and later became a Product Specialist and SaaS Delivery Manager. David then held the role of Professional Services Consultant, where they implemented the flagship product numero Interactive for clients and provided technical advisory services. Currently, they are the Head of Infrastructure, responsible for managing all activity on the internal and hosted infrastructures at Lokulus. Prior to working at Lokulus, David was a Developer at Torex Retail from 2002 to 2006.

David Smith has a diverse education history. David obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management Practice from The University of Manchester between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1999 to 2001. David also holds a Higher National Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Stockport College of Further & Higher Education, which they completed from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, they attained a Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution, finishing it between 1995 and 1997.

Apart from their formal education, David Smith has obtained a certification as an ISO 27001:2013 Internal Auditor from BSI in August 2019.
