Nathan Kerr is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in managing IT infrastructure and systems. Currently serving as IT Manager at London Hydro since May 2009, Nathan is responsible for overseeing the support, maintenance, monitoring, and strategic planning of both on-premise and cloud-based technologies. Previous roles include Systems Administrator at London Hydro, where Nathan managed Unix and Linux servers, and Technical Support Analyst at Maplewood Computing Inc, providing comprehensive IT functions and support. Nathan began the career as a Packaging Engineer Project Coordinator at 3M and as a Structural Designer at Morphy Containers Ltd. Academically, Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Athabasca University, along with a technologist degree from Mohawk College.

London Hydro receives electricity mostly from the provincial high-voltage transmission grid (augmented with local generation) and distributes such electrical energy at distribution and utilization voltages throughout the City of London, Ontario. London Hydro is responsible for the design, construction, and ongoing operation and maintenance of such distribution and utilization facilities.
