Meir Max Barak

Meir Max Barak is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Anatomy at Long Island University since January 2019. Barak has extensive experience in human evolutionary biology, with roles at Harvard University as an Associate, Lecturer, and Teaching Fellow. Prior to this, Barak held associate and assistant professorships at Winthrop University from August 2013 to December 2018 and completed postdoctoral fellowships at both the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and Harvard University. Barak's educational background includes a PhD in Bone Biomechanics, a Teaching Certificate in Biology, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, all from prestigious institutions including the Weizmann Institute of Science and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
