Jiri Devat is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in product and service innovation across various sectors, including telecommunications, banking, and retail. As the Owner and CEO of DEVAT innoware since June 2012, Jiri has spearheaded new product and service development initiatives. Jiri also serves as a Mentor at Look AI Ventures and held positions as Head of Product and Design at Česká spořitelna and Chief of Vertical, Manufacturing & Construction at Creative Dock. Additionally, Jiri has contributed as an Advisor to the CEO at OpenRefactory, a Thought Leader and Partner at IdeaSense, and held roles in business strategy and development at Aviget and Kyosun. Jiri's previous experience includes serving as Country General Manager for Cisco Systems in the Czech Republic, where Jiri achieved significant revenue growth. Jiri holds a Master's degree in Informatics from Brno University of Technology and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Swinburne University of Technology, complemented by a brief study in Mathematical Modelling at Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Look AI Ventures (LAIV) is the first investment fund in the Czech Republic focusing exclusively on early-stage AI startups. Our goal is to nurture the AI startup ecosystem by investing in a new portfolio of promising early-stage AI startups. LAIV is built on the foundation of Look AI Investments (formerly AI Startup Incubator) since 2017, integrating AISI's diverse portfolio, network, AI expertise, resources, and proven unique methodology into its structure. We invest in pre-seed and seed startups addressing major markets with core AI-driven solutions. We are industry and geography-agnostic (but primarily focused on EU-based startups). We invest tickets of up to €250K with a possibility of follow-up investment of up to €1M. We do convertibles and priced rounds upon company fair market valuations. Our team of seasoned managers, entrepreneurs, and technology and AI experts tailors cooperation to the unique needs of every AI startup. We provide technical support & governance, assigning a tech and business resource to the founding team. Founded in 2022 in Prague, the LAIV fund is backed by the team's demonstrated capabilities and network of AI & ML experts. Everything from the evaluation process to the partner ecosystem is built to identify and grow the most disruptive AI solutions and maximize the chances of generating superior, long-term investment returns.
