Lord Aeck Sargent
Matt Cherry has a diverse work experience in the field of landscape architecture and urban design. Matt started their career as a Landscape Designer at Tunnell-Spangler-Walsh in 2000 and worked until 2002. In 2005, they joined Urban Collage as an Associate and remained with the company until 2013. During this time, they gained valuable experience in their field. In 2013, they joined Lord Aeck Sargent where they held various roles, initially starting as a Senior Associate and currently serving as the Director of Landscape Architecture & Urban Design. Matt Cherry's extensive experience demonstrates their expertise and growth in the field.
Matt Cherry completed their Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from The University of Georgia from 1996 to 2000. Matt further pursued a Master's degree in Urban Design from the University of Michigan, attending from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they obtained various certifications as a Registered Landscape Architect, including the Georgia certification in 2014, the Kentucky certification in 2016, and the North Carolina certification in 2016. Most recently, in December 2021, they received the certification as a Texas Registered Landscape Architect from the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards.
